“Rise Up, Sing Out” is the first social justice oriented community choir in Northern Macomb County. We rehearse one per month at St. Thomas Community Presbyterian Church on Mound Road. Our goal is to perform at local Pride festivals and BIPOC events. This choir is open to all people, of all religions, and all backgrounds. If you are interested in joining us, please email us at rise4loveandjustice@gmail.com.
We would love to have you be part of our fun, talented group!
These events are free. They are open to all.
Our small but might food pantry is located on Church St. in the Village of Romeo. This beautifully made “building” provides nourishment and support to many. What is inside? Canned vegetables and soup, peanut butter and jelly, spaghetti noodles and sauce, applesauce, granola bars, personal hygiene products and diapers On average, we send out 300-400 items per week.

Since our inception, Rise UCC has remained a strong supporter of Macomb County Pride. From sponsoring the children’s area to having a booth filled with
smiling faces and fun, we are present every year.
When you attend, stop by and say hello!
The pastors and leadership of Rise UCC fully understand the importance of
having time with nature to understand and develop a relationship with God
and to also develop our own personal spirit. We, as a community, are
committed as a congregation to support this camp in Brighton, MI. Summer
camps at this place are fully affirming and welcoming of youth and young
adults of all genders. Our money provides scholarships for individuals and
families to attend.
Pastor Kim currently serves on the Board of Directors.
Rise UCC offers a minimum of two weekend retreats per year at Skyline Retreat Center. We offer topics that educate us in our current society while including time for reflection, activities, great food, and a campfire.
Stay tuned for our next retreat date!
