Rise UCC is now in its third year and we have made incredible progress. After we completed numerous logistical components of beginning a new church, we began to look for a space to meet regularly in-person. Over the past couple of years, we have rented space for individual events at Starkweather Art Gallery, Camp Rotary, Stony Creek Metropark, and the Romeo Activity Center. We have had functions at our homes and met for fellowship at Main Treats. However, it has beena challenge to find a permanent space.
After discussion with St. Paul Community Presbyterian Church, we knew this was a space we could thrive while we continue to look for a permanent place to call home. Our entire leadership team is spending time looking at possible locations, but for now we are incredibly thankful for the hospitality of St. Thomas!
Our Little Food Pantry is still being utilized in ways we could have never dreamed. And we have been out in the community working toward a more just society. We thank you for your patience during so much transition!
